2024 Annual Appeal

This past year, the Hyde Park Art Association at the Menino Arts Center (The MAC) has been opening eyes and inspiring vision throughout our community. We’ve:

• Bridged the gap between the physical and digital: Offered hybrid exhibitions in our gallery and the virtual world of Kunstmatrix, expanding access to art for all.
• Nurtured artistic expression: Hosted in-person and online workshops, fostering creativity and skill-building for artists of all levels.
• Filled Hyde Park with music and poetry: Presented captivating spring and fall concerts and welcomed Poet Laureates from across the state for our 2nd Thursday Poetry Readings.
• Grown our vibrant community: We welcomed 142 local artists and supporters into our growing membership, creating a thriving hub for artistic expression and connection.

But we’re not stopping there. We envision a future where the transformative power of art touches every life in Hyde Park. Where children discover their creative spark, where emerging artists find support and mentorship, and where everyone feels a sense of belonging in a vibrant cultural community. Your support is vital to making this vision a reality.

With a gift of $100 or more, you’ll receive a beautiful matted print of “Pack Ice 5”, a captivating watercolor by longtime HPAA member Lisa Goren (https://www.lisagorenpaintings.com/). Lisa’s artwork, inspired by her travels to the Polar Regions, captures the awe-inspiring beauty of these landscapes, reminding us of the power of art to transport and inspire.
